FL Studio saves projects as .flp files; Logic Pro uses .logicx packages. Neither DAW opens the other's format, and no export inside FL produces a Logic project. Doseedo converts the project itself: upload the .flp, download a native .logicx with the arrangement rebuilt.

Why there's no built-in way

Image-Line and Apple have no interchange format between them. The usual advice — bounce stems, export MIDI, rebuild by hand — works, but you lose the project: clip boundaries, marker positions, channel layout and mixer routing all flatten into audio files. A native conversion keeps the project a project.

How the conversion works

Doseedo parses the .flp event stream directly — channels, patterns, playlist, markers, tempo — and rebuilds it as a Logic project. Playlist pattern clips become MIDI regions at the same bars; audio clips become audio regions with the source files embedded into the .logicx package. To bring the audio along, zip the project folder (the .flp plus its audio files) and upload the zip; a bare .flp converts too, with audio tracks arriving as placeholders.

What carries over — and what doesn't

FL Studio conversion is the newest direction in Doseedo's converter, and the copy here is deliberately honest. What arrives editable: tempo and time signature, the playlist arrangement (every pattern becomes a clip at its real position — not a pile of unplaced patterns), MIDI notes with velocities, audio clips placed where they were with the samples bundled alongside, markers, and per-channel volume, pan and mute with one mixer lane per source track.

What carries beyond the arrangement: FL's stock mixer effects — Parametric EQ 2 and v1, Soft Clipper, Limiter, the master-bus chain included — arrive in Logic as native devices with their settings, and anything unmapped is reported. What doesn't carry yet: third-party plugin and instrument state (tracks arrive named and placed, instruments to re-pick), automation curves, sends, and audio warping/stretch (clips place at their natural length). If your project leans on those, expect to rebuild them in the destination — the arrangement, notes and audio will be waiting.

Do I need FL Studio or Logic installed?

Not to convert. The conversion runs on the project file itself. You need Logic Pro (on a Mac) to open the result — that part Apple doesn't bend on.

New direction — help us test it

FL Studio support shipped this month. If a project converts wrong — or doesn't convert — that's exactly what we want to see. Every conversion improves the converter.

FAQ

Can you convert an FL Studio project to Logic Pro?

Yes. Upload a .flp (or a zip of the project folder with its audio) to Doseedo and download a native Logic Pro .logicx package. The playlist arrangement, MIDI notes, audio clips, tempo, markers and mixer levels arrive editable.

Does FL Studio export to Logic Pro?

No. FL Studio has no Logic export, and Logic can't open .flp files. The only routes are bouncing stems (which flattens the project) or a native converter that rebuilds the project format — that's what Doseedo does.

Do FL Studio plugins carry over to Logic?

Not yet. Tracks arrive named and placed with their MIDI and audio, but plugin and instrument state, automation curves and sends have to be rebuilt in Logic. The conversion is honest about this rather than silently dropping things.

Do I need FL Studio installed to convert a .flp?

No. The conversion works on the project file itself — you only need Logic Pro to open the converted result.
